What is SSD?
- A solid state drive (SSD) is an advanced
data storage device that uses NAND flash memory or in some cases SDRAM to
store continuous data.
- An SSD emulates a conventional hard disk
drive (HDD), easily substituting it in most applications.
- SSDs may contain either single-level cell
(SLC) or multi-level cell (MLC) NAND flash memory providing significant
differences in read/write performance and endurance.
- Without motors or moving parts, Imation
Solid State Drives powered by Mtron utilize industry-leading controller
technology to provide faster and more reliable data storage than traditional
hard disk drives (HDDs), and also offer lower heat and noise generation
