System
The Nexsan E60, a member of the
Flexible Storage Platform, is a next generation high-density and
energy-efficient storage system, upping the ante over previous
generations by delivering a storage solution that accommodates 60 disks.
It provides 180TBs in only 4U and, thanks to Nexsan's AutoMAID level 4
technology, reduces energy costs by up to 85% - making it the most
energy-efficient, enterprise-class storage system on the market.
The E60 contains four 8Gbit Fibre Channel ports, with the ability in the
future to add a second IO card, and two 1Gbit iSCSI ports to deliver
more bandwidth and connectivity. The E60 seamlessly combines SATA, SAS,
and SSD drives to give IT administrators a high degree of flexibility,
and its innovative active drawer technology allows the E60 to be safely
serviced by one person while remaining in full production - a
significant improvement over competitive systems that typically require
several people to replace a single disk or fan. The E60 is built for
enterprise-class applications, providing tier-1 full redundancy and high

THREE YEARS ADVANCE REPLACEMENT WARRANTY:Nexsan
Technologies storage systems are warranted for three full years from the
date of shipment. Upon verification of failure, replacement equipment
will be shipped out to our customers. Return material authorizations
will accompany all equipment shipped and can be issued either by our
phone, fax, or email. (warranties are non-transferable without prior
consent from Nexsan) Several levels of service upgrades are available
for purchase. |

automatically be put into a lower power-consuming state. No changes to

AutoMAID level 4. |

| Anti-Vibration Design |
Hard drives are mounted so that all disks are not
spinning in the same direction. In addition, the anti-vibration design
of the chassis provides unprecedented hard drive MTBFs. |

| Cool Drive Technology |
The chassis is designed to deliver uniform, plentiful
airflow that is not subject to a single point of failure. The
hot-swappable fan on the front of a drawer pulls in air, and two fans at
the rear push the air out. |

| Fibre Channel and iSCSI SAN Connectivity |
Each controller provides two 8Gb Fibre Channel ports
and two 1Gb iSCSI connections – all four ports can be used
simultaneously in SAN or direct-attached applications. |

| Revolutionary Ease of Administration |
A built-in Web server utilizes the dedicated 100Mb/s
Ethernet port to deliver an industry leading management GUI that sets the gold standard
for ease-of-use. |

| 4GB Battery-backed Cache per Controller
|
The two RISC engines on each controller share a 2GB
high speed cache which is supplied with enough battery power to permit
it to be saved to flash memory in the event of a sudden loss of power. |

| Hardware RAID |
Supports RAID 0, 1, 1+0, 4, 5 and 6 using two
dedicated hardware RAID engines per controller. RAID6 protects against
the failure of two drives in a RAID set. |
|
| Automatic RAID Set Maintenance |
In the event of a drive failure, spare drives are
automatically added to a RAID set and a RAID set rebuild is run all
without any manual intervention being required. Administrators can
receive email alerts, SNMP alerts or monitor the storage system's health
remotely. |

| Flexible Storage Configuration |
Supports multiple RAID sets and multiple volumes per
set with full LUN security and up to 254 LUNS per system. |
