ProtectionPAC Software:
Virtual tape—enables REO
1000 disk storage to be configured as a disk volume, an LTO-2 virtual tape drive
or a combination of both. Backing up to virtual LTO-2 tape drives eliminates the
limitations of disk-based backup imposed by some backup applications.
Flexible virtual device support—provides the ability for
each virtual device to be configured as a disk LUN or virtual tape drive, up to
64 total devices, enabling storage managers to implement a solution that most
closely matches their current and future data protection requirements.
Dynamic Virtual Tape—provides the ability to dynamically
size virtual tape drives to the size of individual backup jobs, providing higher
usable capacity versus fixed length virtual tape devices.
Browser based management—provides proactive monitoring
capability, event notification and remote management capability. The REO 1000
allows you to easily manage your backup and recovery process from a location
thats convenient for you.
