ATTO Announces the release of the FibreBridge 7500 16Gb Fibre Channel to 12Gb SAS Storage Controller!
ATTO is proud to announce the release of the ATTO FibreBridge
7500 Storage Controller, an accelerated, high performance storage platform that
adds Enterprise-level Fibre Channel SAN connectivity and management features to
low-cost SAS JBOD storage. ATTO's exceptionally fast acceleration architecture
has dedicated memory modules and data paths so commands won't have to compete
for shared system resources allowing more data transfers at faster transfer
rates. The 7500 creates a modular solution that forms an ideal platform for
building out a virtualized, software defined data center.
- Not a server, the 7500 is a dedicated external rackmount
storage controller with 16Gb Fibre Channel and 12Gb SAS
- Parallel processing with less than 4 microseconds of
latency between storage and server platform data transfers
- Single controller performance up to 1 million IOps at
512B or 735,000 IOps at 4K and throughput up to 3.2 GBps
ATTO's 7500 leverages the highly reliable and proven
technology introduced by the FibreBridge 6500 storage controller which leading
storage companies have installed in thousands of data centers worldwide. Both
products feature ATTO's Drive Map Directorâ„¢ technology which reduces operating
expenses by eliminating manual mapping of LUNs and the need to remap LUNs if a
drive shelf is removed for maintenance or failure. The FibreBridge 7500 is
targeted at high performance, highly transactional environments while the
FibreBridge 6500 is well suited for large capacity HDD and tape applications.
