SymplyPRO LTO-XTF desktop utilizes our robust and stylish metal alloy enclosure. It’s not only rugged, it’s compact and full featured. With a premium whisper quiet fan and power supply it’s designed for years of trouble-free service. This desktop model features two Thunderbolt 3 ports for daisy chaining with one providing 60-watt fast device charging. SymplyPRO LTO-XTF desktop also includes SAS Expansion and SAS Host connections in case you need to link other SAS device(s) to your Thunderbolt computer or use it with a non-Thunderbolt enabled workstation. SymplyPRO LTO-XTF features a single latest generation full-height LTO-9 tape drive and provides staggering performance up to 400 MB/sec.

SymplyPRO LTO-XTF supports the Linear Tape File System (LTFS) allowing simple drag and drop file operation similar to a conventional hard drive. LTFS can reduce the need for backup or archive software and allows users to easily interchange data using LTO cartridges or copy data to and from an available storage device, such as an HDD or SSD.

While SymplyPRO LTO-XTF hardware is a step above, the included feature rich SymplyATOM (Advanced Tape Operations and Management) software makes operation and maintenance easy. SymplyPRO LTO-XTF is also certified for use with popular backup and archive utilities for macOS and Windows including YoYotta, Hedge Canister, XenData and Archiware P5.
