SymplyDIT LTO is a unique full-featured archive and transfer system designed specifically for on-set and DIT use with features that can enhance every production and post production pipeline.

SymplyDIT LTO is based on our advanced desktop SymplyPRO LTO product line featuring a rugged metal alloy enclosure, whisper-quiet fan, and premium power supply. Then we added multi-access technology that combines docking support for Atomos media along with any 2.5” SSD for fast all-in-one DIT operations.

Unlike others, this is not a repurposed LTO DIT system or a highly design-compromised tape product. The SymplyDIT LTO was designed by working with media professionals and hearing their needs and wants. We took what they asked for, added high-quality components, and SymplyDIT LTO was born.

Each SymplyDIT LTO system includes two Thunderbolt 3 ports for daisy chaining, and fast device charging. They also include a SAS expansion port and SAS host connectivity port in case you need to connected other SAS devices to your Thunderbolt-equipped computer, or use it with a non-Thunderbolt workstation.

All SymplyDIT LTO configurations feature Linear Tape File System (LTFS) support. Allowing simple drag and drop file operation similar to a conventional hard drive. LTFS can reduce the need for backup or archive software, and allows users to easily interchange data using LTO cartridges or copying data to and from hard drives or SSDs.

Configurations are available with LTO-7, LTO-8 and LTO-9 half-height drives, and now the latest full height LTO-9 drive with native 18TB raw capacity and read/write speeds of up to 400MB/s. A perfect match for offloading camera cards and SSDs.

SymplyDIT LTO includes the feature rich SymplyATOM (Advanced Tape Operations and Management) software that makes operation and maintenance easy. SymplyDIT LTO systems are also compatible with popular backup and archive utilities for macOS and Windows including YoYotta LTFS, Hedge Canister, Xendata, Tiger Technology Bridge, Retrospect and Archiware P5.
