ADM NAS OS automatically recognizes RDX Quikstor as USB external storage device

Asustor Inc. announced its collaboration with storage solutions manufacturer Overland-Tandberg to support the RDX Quikstor removable disk drive on Asustor NAS devices.

The RDX QuikStor is a stable and versatile secure storage solution that allows users to quickly backup important data by connecting their tape drive through USB directly to a NAS. This method ensures data is stored in a high-security environment through physical isolation, protecting against static, impacts, and other data protection hazards.

When connected to a company’s NAS, ADM automatically recognizes the RDX Quikstor as a USB external storage device. The RDX Quikstor can serve as the target device for scheduled backups, and once a backup is completed, the tape is automatically ejected, creating an impenetrable file protection mode through physical isolation. In the face of increasingly rampant cyberattacks and security threats, this physical isolation method helps enterprises, professionals, and content creators avoid human errors and network attacks that could further harm valuable files.
