This collaboration integrates Panzura Symphony‘s intelligent data management solution with IBM Storage Deep Archive, a sustainable, cyber resilient, ultra-high-density, on-premise tape storage solution, transforming the management of cold data. Panzura Symphony, a data services platform, automates data lifecycle management, enabling data movement across diverse environments. It synchronizes with Storage Deep Archive, automating data transfers to tape using S3 Glacier Flexible Retrieval storage classes, thereby simplifying archiving workflows. Storage Deep Archive offers a secure and durable on-premise, cloud-like solution ideal for data archiving and online backup. It leverages tape technology for data protection, ensuring data at rest is encrypted and air-gapped, shielding it from cyber threats. This solution simplifies tape integration, making on-tape data storage accessible even without specialized technical expertise. It provides significantly reduced costs for cold data storage – up to 80% cheaper than archival cloud services – with no recall fees. Meanwhile, Panzura Symphony automates data lifecycle management and facilitates seamless data movement, complementing Deep Archive by using S3 Glacier Flexible Retrieval storage classes to automate data transfers to tape.
