SnapServer 620 - End of Life Notice
With the introduction of the SnapServer N2000
series of systems, Overland Storage is discontinuing the SnapServer 620.
Systems Being
Discontinued
The table below lists the
systems being discontinued and the recommended follow-on products.
BackupWorks has some
limited stock left on the SnapServer 620, however we have plenty of stock of the
New SnapServer N2000 especially the SnapServer N2000 8TB SATA ENT which is under
promotion right now at the price of the 4TB N2000. This promotion is good
through March 25, 2011. For further details on the

EOL Program Details
Product(s) Affected:
SnapServer 620 systems (as indicated in the table listed above) as well as all
associated accessories and spare parts.
Follow on Products: As a follow on
product to the SnapServer 620, we recommend the New SnapServer N2000.
N2000 Highlights:
- 2U, 12-bay NAS appliance powered by GuardianOS™
- Unified block and file architecture
- Support for snapshots and replication
- The ability to intermix SAS and SATA drives in a single
chassis
- Up to six Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) ports with Ethernet
teaming
- Scalable to144TB with the addition of SnapDisk E2000
expansion enclosures
Anticipated Last Order Date: SnapServer 620 systems and spares
are available in limited quantities.
- Effective February 27, 2011 we will no
longer be accepting orders for SnapServer 620 systems
- Effective February 27, 2011 we will no
longer be accepting orders for SnapServer 620 service uplifts (renewals and
extensions will be available on an annual renewal basis only)
- Effective February 27, 2011 we will no
longer be accepting orders for SnapServer 620 spares (spare parts will be
available as needed for customers with current Overland Care contracts)
NOTE: Last order dates are dependent upon product
availability. For discontinued products, support agreements are available on an
annual renewal basis only. As a general policy, Overland Storage will provide
service on any discontinued product for up to five (5) years. This term may be
extended if there is sufficient demand and capability for such an extension.
This term may be reduced if there is insufficient demand.
