New RDX Cartridge Encryptor Software Allows Users of Any Generation of RDX Technology to Protect Their Data with an Enhanced Level of Security

Tandberg Data, the owner of RDX technology and a global leader in data storage and protection solutions, today announced free encryption software that allows customers to easily encrypt data stored on RDX disk cartridges. The new software, called RDX Cartridge Encryptor (RCE), incorporates industry standard AES 256-bit encryption combined with secure erase and cryptographic key deletion. Tandberg Data RCE software is optimized for performance and simplicity for small and medium-sized businesses, providing even greater data security for off-site data storage.
