Tandberg Data Introduces Industry’s Highest Capacity RDX Data Cartridge with 1.5TB of Native Storage

New RDX Data Cartridge Increases the Maximum Native Storage Capacity by 50 Percent, Extending Capacity Choices for Scalable Backup, Restore and Archiving Tasks

Tandberg Data, the owner of RDX technology and a global leader in data storage and protection solutions, today announced the addition of the 1.5 terabyte (TB) RDX data cartridge to its portfolio of RDX data protection solutions for small and medium businesses. RDX technology allows users to quickly store or back up their data onto rugged, removable RDX data cartridges, ensuring that their information is fully protected for instant availability, off-site safekeeping and easy transport.

Tandberg Data’s RDX QuikStation customers will also benefit from the new cartridge capacity when they fully populate their disk libraries with 1.5TB RDX data cartridges, increasing the appliance’s native storage capacity from 8TB to 12TB. The RDX QuikStation delivers robust data protection and off-site disaster recovery in a feature-rich, multi-cartridge 2U configuration that integrates easily into a broad range of environments.
